2013-2017
we will develop relationships with external customers as well as with partners in furniture industry, and the investments we will make will mainly target these two markets. We will develop new products trying to cover the existing production capacities.

2012
an investment program is being carried out in refurbishment and improving the company image. Production exceeds 4,300 tons. In this moment, the company produces low-, medium- and high-density polyethylene foils, polyethylene sacks, covers, bags, polyethylene pipes and fittings for water, gas networks and electrical cable protection, injected products and blown products. Our products are sold both in our country and in EU countries.
2010
in full economic crisis, the company is reshaping its production by focusing on 4 major markets namely export, packaging, building materials and infrastructure, thefurniture industry. The production of goods consumer is abandoned for good and the production is mostly oriented towards end-users.
2009
the company experience the effects of the global economic crisis, the production drops by 20 %.
2008
the investment process is continued doubling the production capacity of polyethylene pipes, the company certified on the 18001 OHSAS standard on occupational health and safety.
2006
it takes place the most extensive investment program in refurbishment also in arrangements of production halls. The financing sources were investment credits and the increase of share capital from majority shareholder SIF Banat Crisana. Thus SIF gets to hold 70,75% of SC Somplast’s shares.
2002-2003
starts the reorganization of company, of technological processes and are made the first investments in refurbishment starting with production of utilities.
2001
SIF Banat Crisana becomes a major shareholder following an increase of share capital, owns 50.939% of the company. Production reaches a historical minimum of 1,259 tones / year.
1999
it is certified by Tuv Suddeutschland, the Quality Management System according with ISO 9001 standard.
1998
it is accredited by Renar, the Physical-Mechanical Test Laboratory.
1990
based on HG no. 1213 the name of the company is changed in SC Somplast SA Nasaud, at that time the production was 22.786 tons/year. The company produced especially polyethylene foils and products from polyethylene foil also consumer goods produced by injection and blow molding.
1978
based on decree no 332/12 august it is founded “Intreprinderea de prelucrare mase plastice” Nasaud (Plastic processing company Nasaud)
